1 hospitalized in solo crash on Hwy 80 in Grand Saline

GRAND SALINE, TX – Medics air-lifted one person to the hospital Wednesday afternoon in Grand Saline after a solo crash along the highway, reports KLTV 7.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. in the area of 4400 Highway 80, which is west of Broken Stone Ranch and east of FM 857.

Police have not yet disclosed the cause of the accident. They say that one person became entrapped in their vehicle as a result of the wreck. That person sustained serious injuries for which they were taken by helicopter to a hospital in Tyler.

Officials closed Highway 80 for a period of time after the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
