1 injured when vehicle hits mini-bike on Hwy 31 in Tyler
TYLER, TX – One person went to the hospital on Tuesday after a vehicle struck his mini-bike along the highway in Tyler, reports KLTV 7.
The incident happened in the afternoon near the intersection of Highway 31, or Chandler Highway, and Eisenhower Drive, which is north of Bellwood Lake.
Police say that a Honda CR-V neglected to yield the right of way to the mini-bike and hit the latter vehicle as it crossed the highway. They also say that mini-bikes are illegal on the highway.
Medics transported the mini-bike driver to the hospital with a leg fracture.
An investigation is underway.
