1 killed, 1 hurt when car strikes semi-truck on Hwy 377 in Keller
KELLER, TX – A driver died, and a passenger went to the hospital early Saturday morning after their vehicle crashed into an 18-wheeler along the highway in Keller.
According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 377 and Mt. Gilead Road, which is just southwest of The Lyric at Keller Center Stage.
The investigation indicates that a speeding car collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer on the highway, killing the driver at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased to the public.
Medics transported a passenger from the vehicle to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Officials closed several lanes of Highway 377 in the area of the crash for approximately six hours while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
