1 killed, 2 hurt when 2 SUVs collide near TX-64 and FM 15
WRIGHT CITY, TX – A driver died, and two people sustained injuries Monday in a two-vehicle collision southeast of Tyler near the Smith County line.
According to KLTV 7, the incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. near the intersection of TX-64 and FM 15 in Wright City. This is about 126 miles southeast of Dallas.
Police say that a southbound white SUV entered the northbound side of the highway and crashed head-on with a northbound black SUV.
Authorities declared the driver of the white SUV deceased at the scene. They’ve not yet released the victim’s identity.
Medics transported two people from the black SUV to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
