1 killed in sedan vs. 18-wheeler crash off East Fwy near Channelview
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – One person lost their life early Wednesday, September 18, near Channelview involving a semi-truck, according to Click2Houston.
The accident unfolded on the feeder road of the East Freeway at Cedar Lane. Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the scene at about 6:00 a.m.
Officials did not immediately disclose the circumstances of the event, but an 18-wheeler and a sedan were impacted.
One person was confirmed to have succumbed to their injuries at the scene. No one else has been reported hurt.
A section of the eastbound feeder road was blocked to traffic as crews worked to investigate the incident and clear the scene.
Alternate routes were recommended.
