2-vehicle crash at Easton Rd and Garland Rd kills 1, injures 1
DALLAS, TX – A two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in northeast Dallas killed one person and injured another Wednesday afternoon, reports WFAA News 8.
The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. at Easton Road and Garland Road, which is just east of Bath House Cultural Center and southwest of Casa View Elementary School.
There’s no word yet about the cause of the accident. Police say that one driver became entrapped in their vehicle and died after a lengthy extrication process. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
The second driver required hospitalization for serious injuries, but he is expected to survive.
Drivers likely experienced significant delays near Easton and Garland while emergency teams attended to the victims and worked to clear the scene.
