2-vehicle crash at SW Pkwy and Texas Ave kills woman and dog
COLLEGE STATION, TX – One person died and another sustained injuries Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on the southeast side of College Station.
According to KBTX 3, the accident happened around 2:15 p.m. at Southwest Parkway and Texas Avenue, which is north of Bee Creek Park and near the Parkway Square shopping center.
Police haven’t shared any details about the cause of the collision. They say that a car and a pickup truck were involved.
A passenger in the car, identified as 80-year-old Margie Smith, died in the wreck, as did her dog.
Medics transported the driver of the car, Margie Smith’s husband, to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
None of the occupants of the pickup truck required hospitalization.
A full investigation is underway.
