2-vehicle crash involving semi on I-35 NB in Abbott kills 1
ABBOTT, TX – A 35-year-old man died last Friday night in a crash involving a semi along the interstate in Abbott, reports Fox 2 Now.
The incident happened around 11:50 p.m. on I-35 near mile marker 361. This is approximately an hour south of Dallas.
Police say that a truck tractor collided with a Chevy pickup truck after the latter vehicle hit a safety bumper along the roadway and lost control. The safety bumper was placed to help guide traffic around the site of a prior accident.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as a 35-year-old Micah Elfrink of Missouri, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.
The driver of the semi was unhurt in the accident.
