2-vehicle crash on I-35W NB near Cross Timbers in Northlake kills 1
NORTHLAKE, TX – One person died Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in southwest Denton County, reports WFAA News 8.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35W near Cross Timbers Road in the city of Northlake. This is about 28 miles northeast of Fort Worth.
Police say that the driver of a northbound 2010 Toyota failed to notice slowing traffic and rear-ended a northbound 2019 Fiat 500.
A passenger in the Fiat, identified as 63-year-old Kawaljweet Kaur, died from her injuries after transport to an area hospital.
It’s unclear if anyone else involved in the collision sustained injuries.
Drivers likely experienced substantial delays along the interstate in Northlake while emergency teams responded to the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
