21-year-old Hunt Co. man killed in Motorcycle vs. box truck collision
DALLAS, TX – A 21-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision along a busy roadway in central Dallas, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened at 2:06 p.m. on the northbound side of the DNT near Northwest Highway, which is just northwest of University Park.
Police say the motorcyclist may have been speeding when he changed lanes and crashed into the rear of a box truck.
The truck driver did not sustain injuries, but the biker died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.
Officials closed roads in the area of the crash while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
