23-year-old Katie Kerl claimed in Dallas pedestrian crash
DALLAS, TX – A 23-year-old woman died last Thursday, and another woman was hurt when a car struck them near the Rosewood Mansion Hotel in central Dallas.
According to Fox 4 News, the incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. near Turtle Creek Parkway Park in the area of Gillespie Street and Turtle Creek Boulevard.
Police say that Katie Kerl and a friend were walking from their hotel to an Uber when a vehicle struck them. Katie became pinned beneath the vehicle and ultimately died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported Katie’s friend to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Authorities haven’t yet shared any details about the driver involved in the accident, nor have they indicated if the driver will face charges.
