3 killed in multi-vehicle, head-on crash on US-69 near Alba

WOOD CO., TX – Two women and a teenager died on January 7th after a collision involving three vehicles on a highway in western Wood County, reports KETK Fox 51.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on the northbound side of US-69 just south of Alba and north of Golden.

The investigation indicates that a southbound 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound 2017 Ford Explorer. A 2020 Dodge Ram 3500 with a trailer then crashed into the side of the Ford.

The 44-year-old driver of the Ford, identified as Ashley Martin, and her 16-year-old passenger died at the scene.

The 39-year-old driver of the Hyundai, identified as Tiffany N. Sammons, also died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Dodge did not sustain injuries in the crash.
