3-vehicle wrong way crash kills 1, hurts 1 in Carrollton
CARROLLTON, TX – Two people died, and one person was hospitalized Sunday after a wrong-way collision along the interstate in Carrollton, reports DFW Scanner.
The accident happened around 5:39 a.m. on the southbound side of I-35E near the President George Bush Turnpike, which is just south of the Southwest Athletic Center.
The investigation indicates that a northbound vehicle entered the southbound lanes of traffic on I-35E and collided head-on with two southbound vehicles.
The northbound driver and one of the southbound drivers died at the scene of the collision. Police have not yet released their identities.
The other southbound driver went to the hospital with unknown injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
