Air ambulance called to crash on FM 51 at FM 2123 in Wise County
WISE CO., TX – Officials dispatched a medical helicopter to the scene of a major two-vehicle collision on the highway between Boyd and Cottondale, reports DFW Scanner.
Major Accident (Wise County) Boyd Engine 112 is on scene of a major accident at FM 51 and FM 2123. Two vehicles involved with major damage. Rescue 1 has launched a medical helicopter to the scene. Both directions of FM 51 are closed.

According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened sometime before 9:23 p.m. at the intersection of FM 51 and FM 2123, which is southeast of Water Scapes Inc. and south of TX-114.
The cause of the accident is unclear at this time. Officials say that both of the vehicles involved sustained substantial damage.
Officials closed FM 51 while crews worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
