Air ambulance transports 1 from 2-vehicle crash near Enchanted Oaks
HENDERSON CO., TX – An air ambulance transported one person to the hospital Sunday after a two-vehicle collision along the highway in northwest Henderson County.
According to KLTV 7, the incident happened just after noon on TX-198 between Payne Springs and Enchanted Oaks.
Bystanders at the scene extricated both the driver and passenger of one of the vehicles, at which point the driver fled the scene. The passenger went to a hospital in Tyler with serious injuries.
The second driver did not sustained injuries in the collision.
Police haven’t yet released any further details about the cause or circumstances of the crash, nor have they located the driver that left the scene.
Officials closed the highway in the area of the accident while crews worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
