Ambulances called to major crash on N Loop 288 at University
DENTON, TX – Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle collision with injuries at a busy intersection in Denton on Wednesday night, reports DFW Scanner.
Major Accident (Denton) Denton Fire/EMS and Police are working a major accident on N. Loop 288 and University. Multiple vehicles involved with multiple injuries. Engine 2 requesting additional ambulances to the scene. Extrication required. Avoid this area.

The incident happened sometime before 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of North Loop 288 and East University Drive, which is in the Cooper Creek area.
Police have not yet commented on the cause of the accident. Officials say that at least one person had to be extricated from the wreck and that several people were injured.
At least two ambulances responded to the scene along with the Denton Fire Department and police. Officials encouraged motorists to avoid the area while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
