At Least 100 Deaths Attributed to Recalled Fisher-Price Rock ‘n Play Sleepers

The Consumer Product Safety Commission recently announced that Fisher-Price’s Rock ‘n Play Sleepers have been linked to at least 100 fatalities. The Rock ‘n Play Sleeper was initially recalled in April 2019 in light of reports that infants were rolling from their back to their stomach or side in the sleeper. Since that time, approximately 70 additional deaths linked to the sleeper have been reported. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has stated that “consumers should stop using the Rock ‘n Play immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a refund or voucher. It is illegal to sell or distribute the recalled sleepers.” Over 4 million sleepers were sold at stores such as Target and Walmart between 2009 and 2019.
