Bret McGee and Hunter Thibodaux Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on State Highway 21 near Frontier Drive in Sabine County
Sabine County, TX. (January 23, 2023)- 23-year-old Bret McGee and 22-year-old Hunter Thibodaux were injured in a two-vehicle crash on January 11, 2023, in Sabine County, Texas. The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on State Highway 21 near Frontier Drive. DPS reported that McGee was driving an eastbound 2018 Dodge pickup truck when he slowed down to make a turn. The driver of a 2007 Peterbilt 18-wheeler failed to control their speed and rear-ended the Dodge. McGee and his passenger Thibodaux were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the 18-wheeler and their passenger were uninjured in the crash. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
