Car hits train car at Cedar Springs and Mockingbird, killing 1
DALLAS, TX – One person died Friday morning after their vehicle crashed into a tank car on a parked train near Dallas Love Field Airport, reports NBC DFW 5.
The incident happened just before 5 a.m. near the intersection of Cedar Springs Road and West Mockingbird Lane, which is just northeast of the UT Southwestern School of Health.
Police aren’t sure why the red sedan crashed into the train, and they have not yet released the name of the victim. Officers tried to resuscitate the driver, but they died at the scene of the accident.
Authorities closed Cedar Springs Road while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
