CareFlight dispatched to crash on Hwy 67 near CR 607 in Alvarado

ALVARADO, TX – At least one person sustained significant injuries in a major accident along the highway in east-central Johnson County on Thursday evening, reports DFW Scanner.

Major Accident (Alvarado) Alvarado FD and PD along with AMR are working a major accident on Highway 67 near County 607 on the east side of town. CareFlite helicopter just lifted off the scene en route to a Fort Worth hospital. Major delays both directions.

The incident happened sometime before 6:21 p.m. on Highway 67 near County Road 607, which is in eastern Alvarado, just west of Texas Ranch RV Resort.

Authorities haven’t yet shared any details regarding the crash except to say that CareFlight reported to the scene and transported at least one patient to a hospital in Fort Worth.

Officials warned drivers of delays on both sides of Highway 67 while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
