Crash involving dirt bike, truck on FM 1753 in NE Grayson Co. kills teen

DENISON, TX – A 15-year-old boy died Monday afternoon in a dirt bike crash involving a truck along the highway in northeast Grayson County, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. on FM-1753 near Richerson Road in the city of Denison. This is about about 75 miles northeast of Dallas.

Police say that the teen driver of a northbound Yamaha TTR230 dirt bike entered FM-1753 without looking and crashed into a truck hauling a trailer.

The teen operator of the dirt bike died one day after transport to a Plano hospital. Officials haven’t yet specified the nature of his injuries.

The woman driving the truck was unhurt in the collision.

Motorists likely experienced delays along FM 1753 while emergency crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
