Critical injuries reported in multi-car crash on I-820 SB near Westpoint
FORT WORTH, TX – Emergency crews reported injuries Tuesday in a major crash along the interstate near the Willow Wood area in Fort Worth, reports CBS News.
The incident happened just after 3:15 p.m. on the southbound side of I-820 near Westpoint Boulevard, which is just north of the intersection with I-30 and the Game On Sports Complex.
Police haven’t yet specified the cause of the collision or the manner of the crash impact. At least six vehicles were involved, and at least one person became entrapped in their vehicle.
Medics transported one person to the hospital with critical injuries. Additional injuries are likely.
Officials closed a section of I-820 southbound in the area of the crash while crews worked to gather evidence.
