Dog in road causes crash that kills motorcyclist on I-30 WB near Westmoreland
DALLAS, TX – A two-vehicle crash along the interstate in west Dallas early Wednesday morning resulted in fatal injuries for a motorcyclist, reports WFAA News 8.
The accident happened around 3 a.m. on the westbound side of I-30 near North Westmoreland Road, which is southwest of Fish Trap Lake Park and south of Dallas Animal Services.
Police say that the body of a dog in the roadway caused a motorcycle to crash, ejecting the operator. A second vehicle then struck and killed the motorcyclist.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim, and no other injuries have been reported at this time.
While police haven’t shared any details about the second driver, they’ve also not referred to the accident as a hit-and-run crash.
