Driver charged after fatal wrong-way crash on Chisholm Trail Pkwy
FORT WORTH, TX – A 22-year-old woman died early Wednesday morning after a wrong-way collision on a busy Fort Worth roadway.
According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened around 12:32 a.m. on the northbound side of Chisholm Trail Parkway near Sycamore School Road, which is just north of Sue Crouch Elementary School.
The investigation indicates that a 32-year-old drunk driver was headed south in a northbound lane when his pickup truck collided head-first with a northbound passenger vehicle.
The driver of the passenger vehicle died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.
The wrong-way driver received treatment for non-critical injuries before police charged him with Intoxication Manslaughter.
