Emergency teams respond to crash at TX-161 SB and Walnut Hill Ln
IRVING, TX – Irving Police asked motorists to avoid a portion of TX-161 on Thursday afternoon while crews responded to a major accident, reports the Irving Police Department.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway at West Walnut Hill Lane, which is north of Irving Mall in the Broadmoor Hills area.
There’s no word yet regarding injuries or what might have caused the accident. Video footage taken at the scene indicates that at least one ambulance, a fire truck, and police responded to the crash.
The accident appeared to block the entire southbound side of the highway while police gathered evidence and crews worked to help victims and clear the wreckage.
The investigation is ongoing.
