Emergency teams respond to multi-car crash on I-30 EB near Edgefield Ave
DALLAS, TX – Several emergency vehicles responded to a major multi-vehicle crash along the interstate heading into downtown Dallas Thursday morning, reports CBS News.
The accident happened sometime before 6 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-30 near Edgefield Avenue. This is just northeast of Stevens Park Golf Course.
Police say that at lest three vehicles were involved in a collision that broke the concrete divider separating the main lanes of I-30 eastbound from the express lanes. The accident pushed a portion of the barrier into the express lanes.
There’s no word yet regarding injuries. Officials closed the eastbound side of I-30 for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene. During this time, drivers experienced significant delays.
