Fatal crash in The Colony involved motorcycle and police cruiser
THE COLONY, TX – Police have shared additional details regarding a fatal crash that happened early Wednesday morning in The Colony.
Authorities say the collision involved a motorcycle and a parked police cruiser. Around 2:30 a.m. the motorcyclist collided with the rear of the cruiser, which was parked on the northbound service road of Highway 121 near Destination Drive. The police officer was helping a stranded driver at the time of the accident.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
No other injuries have been reported in connection with the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
