Fatality reported in crash on TX-161SB at W Rochelle in Irving
IRVING, TX – At least one person died Monday afternoon in a major accident along the highway in northwest Irving, reports WFAA News 8.
The incident happened just before 4 p.m. on the southbound side of TX-161 at West Rochelle Road, which is just southeast of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
The cause of the crash remains unclear, and police have not yet disclosed the number of vehicles involved. They have shared that the incident involved a white Ford pickup truck.
Officials closed all southbound lanes in the vicinity of the collision while crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic was diverted from TX-161 to Walnut Hill Lane.
