Frankston man killed in 3-vehicle crash at TX-155 and CR-196
TYLER, TX – A three-vehicle collision at an intersection in central Smith County killed a 39-year-old motorcyclist last Friday, reports My Texas Daily.
Police say the crash occurred around 4 p.m. in south Taylor at State Highway 155 at County Road 196, which is just northeast of the junction with Toll 49.
The evidence thus far suggests that a 2007 Chrysler Sebring struck a 2003 Yamaha Motorcycle in the intersection. The driver of the Chrysler stopped at stop sign but neglected to yield the right of way to the southbound motorcyclist. The Yamaha then hit a 2018 Toyota Rav4 that was stopped at a stop sign on CR-196.
The motorcyclist, identified as 39-year-old Sean O. Leary, died at the scene of the collision.
Neither of the other drivers were hurt in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
