HazMat crash involving semi on I-35E near Denton Dr delays traffic
DENTON CO., TX – Motorists experienced delays Thursday night near Lake Dallas after a HazMat crash involving a semi along the interstate, reports DFW Scanner.
Accident w/ HazMat (Denton County) Lake Cities FD is working a crash involving an 18-wheeler along southbound I35E near Denton Drive. Denton FD’s HazMat team has been requested to assist. Expect delays in this area.

The incident happened sometime before 8:41 p.m. on the southbound side of I-35E near Denton Drive, or South Lake Dallas Drive, which is just northwest of Arrowhead Park.
It’s not yet clear how the crash happened or if any other vehicles aside from the 18-wheeler were involved.
Officials dispatched a HazMat team to the site to assist with clean-up and ensure the safety of the area. Drivers were warned to expect delays and to seek alternate routes.
