Head-on crash involving semi-truck on TX-16 near Loving kills 1, injures 1
YOUNG CO., TX – A 20-year-old man died last Friday after the car in which he was a passenger collided with an 18-wheeler along the highway south of Loving.
According to Texoma’s Homepage, the incident happened around 6 a.m. on TX-16, approximately nine miles south of Loving, which is northwest of Fort Worth.
The investigation indicates that a northbound 2007 Ford Mustang veered into the southbound lane and crashed head-first into a 2004 Freightliner CL1 towing a trailer.
The unrestrained passenger in the Mustang, identified as Codey Henderson, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported the unrestrained driver of the Mustang to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain injuries in the accident.
