Hit-and-run driver strikes, kills pedestrian in northwest Denton

DENTON, TX – A male pedestrian died on Sunday night after a hit-and-run driver struck him at a busy intersection in Denton.

According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened at 10:19 p.m. on the northbound frontage road of I-35 at West University Drive, which is just west of North Lakes Recreation Center.

Police have not yet shared any details about the circumstances of the accident except to say that witnesses saw a vehicle hit the pedestrian before fleeing the scene.

The pedestrian died after transport to a local office. Authorities have not yet identified him.
