Major crash on TX-183 WB near Irving city limits diverts traffic

IRVING, TX – A serious collision along the westbound side of the highway in east Irving blocked traffic for several hours while crews worked at the scene, reports the Irving Police Department.

WB SH 183 is closed at our East city limits for a major accident. ALL traffic is forced to take the exit for Spur 482. Expect this closure for several hours while our crash investigators process the scene.

The incident happened around 8:51 p.m. on TX-183 westbound, near the eastern city limits and south of the University of Dallas.
