Male pedestrian struck, killed on I-35W near Belknap in central Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, TX- A male pedestrian died early Tuesday morning after a vehicle struck him along the interstate in central Fort Worth, reports Fox 4 News.
The accident happened just before 5 a.m. on the southbound side of I-35W near Belknap Street in the Greenway area, not far from downtown.
Police say the victim attempted to cross the interstate when a southbound vehicle hit him.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident stopped to render aid and speak with police.
Officials closed the express lanes of I-35W in the area of the crash while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
