Man injured in crash involving stolen motorcycle on US-287 in Mansfield
MANSFIELD, TX – A motorcyclist went to the hospital with serious injuries after fleeing police and crashing along the highway in Mansfield, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. on the northbound side of US-287 at Debbie Lane, which is just southeast of Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts.
The investigation indicates that police attempted to stop the motorcyclist for speeding on US-287 when the biker lost control and crashed into the median. He then fell from the highway overpass onto Debbie Lane below.
Medics transported the motorcyclist to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The biker will likely face charges, as officials determined that the wrecked motorcycle had been reported stolen in Irving.
