Man struck, killed on 1-20 WB just east of FM 1187 in N Aledo
ALEDO, TX – A 40-year-old man died on Sunday morning after a vehicle struck him along the interstate in eastern Parker County, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. on the westbound side of I-20 between FM 1187 and the I-30 split. This is on the northern outskirts of Aledo.
Police say the victim had been involved in a minor collision with a semi-truck and was waiting for a tow truck when the car hit him.
Authorities declared the victim deceased at the scene of the accident. They’ve not yet released his identity to the public.
Officials haven’t indicated whether the driver that struck the victim stopped to render aid and communicate with police, nor have they shared if anyone else sustained injuries in either accident.
A full investigation is underway.
