Pickup truck vs. ATV crash in Ellis Co. kills youth, injures three others
WAXAHACHIE, TX – A 12-year-old boy died, and three other juveniles went to the hospital on Sunday after a crash involving a pickup and an ATV in Waxahachie.
According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened around 7:08 p.m. at the intersection of Boz Road and Greathouse Road, which is east of Lakeview Camp and Retreat Center and west of I-35 E.
The investigation thus far indicates that a northbound pickup truck collided with a westbound ATV carrying 4 juveniles when the latter vehicle neglected to stop for the stop sign.
One passenger from the ATV died after transport to a local hospital.
Two passengers form the ATV went to the hospital with serious injuries. The 16-year-old driver of the ATV sustained non-critical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
