Police id man killed in west Dallas hit-and-run at I-30 and Cockrell Hill
DALLAS, TX – A 45-year-old man died last Saturday night in the Cockrell Hill area of west Dallas after an intoxicated driver struck him in a crosswalk, reports Fox 4.
The incident happened sometime after 8 p.m. at the intersection of I-30 and Cockrell Hill Road, which is just north of Walmart and Lowe’s.
Police say that Nestor John Lujan Flores was likely under the influence when he struck 45-year-old Terry Ivory as Ivory attempted to cross the road in a designated crosswalk.
The investigation indicates that Flores drove with Ivory’s body in the passenger seat of his vehicle for 40 miles until he reached White Settlement on the west side of Fort Worth.
Authorities arrested Flores, who likely faces multiple charges related to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
