Police share details of auto vs. ped crash on TX-360 at Mayfield
ARLINGTON, TX – A 64-year-old man died last Friday from injuries sustained when a vehicle struck him last Thursday night along TX-360 near Mayfield Road, reports AOL.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on February 2nd in East Arlington. Authorities initially shared very little information about the collision but have not identified the victim as Asanberg Clement Asongwe from Grand Prairie.
Police say that for unknown reasons, Asongwe stopped his 2019 Toyota 4Runner in the far right lane of TX-360 and exited the vehicle. He and his vehicle were then struck by a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage.
Asongwe died the next day at a hospital in Arlington.
