Possible fatality reported in crash on Hwy 171 southeast of Weatherford

PARKER CO., TX – Officials closed all lanes of the highway between Weatherford and Cresson Tuesday morning after a potentially fatal accident, reports DFW Scanner.

Major Accident (Parker County) DPS Troopers are investigating a major accident on Highway 171 between Weatherford and Cresson. Possible fatality. All lanes are closed. Avoid this area.

The incident happened around 10:31 a.m. on Highway 171 southwest of Fort Worth and between I-20 and US-377.

Police have not yet shared any details regarding the circumstances of the accident, but they have warned motorists to seek alternate routes and to avoid Highway 171 in this area.
