Richard Howell, 57, killed in 3-car crash on TX-349 in Midland
MIDLAND, TX – A man sustained fatal injuries Thursday in a multi-vehicle crash caused by icy conditions along the highway on the northwest side of Midland, reports mrt.
The accident happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. at TX-340 and TX-158. This is just west of Chris Davidson Opportunity Park.
Police say that the driver of a westbound Kenworth semi-truck was speeding when he entered the eastbound side of TX-349 and collided head-on with both an eastbound 2024 Chevrolet Silverado and an eastbound 2022 Ram 1500.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as 57-year-old Richard Allen Howell, died at the scene.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
A full investigation is underway.
