Semi vs. SUV crash on TX-115 near MM 389 in Ward Co. kills 1

WARD CO., TX – A 30-year-old man died this past Sunday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi along the highway in north-central Ward County, reports NewsWest 9.

The accident happened just before 3:30 a.m. on TX-115 near mile marker 389. This is somewhere between Pyote and Patricia.

Police say that a southbound 2017 Jeep Wrangler collided with a southbound 2009 Freightliner 18-wheeler when the driver of the latter vehicle initiated a U-turn in front of the Jeep.

The unrestrained driver of the Jeep, identified as Christian Reyes, died at the scene of the accident.

The truck driver was unhurt in the collision.

Authorities haven’t yet disclosed whether the truck driver will face charges in connection to the crash.
