Serious injuries reported in accident on I-20 EB near Cooper St

ARLINGTON, TX – Several ambulances were dispatched to the scene of a major collision along the interstate near the mall in Arlington, reports DFW Scanner.

Rollover Accident (Arlington) Arlington FD, PD, and EMS are working a major accident on the westbound I20 service road near Cooper Street. One vehicle overturned off the road. Major injuries reported. Requesting 4 ambulances.

The incident happened sometime before 3:39 p.m. on the westbound side of the I-20 service road near Cooper Street, which is just northwest of the Harold Patterson Sports Center.

It’s not yet clear what caused the crash or how many vehicles were involved, but police say one vehicle overturned along the interstate, and one person sustained serious injuries.

Motorists likely experienced delays along the interstate in the area of the accident while police gathered evidence and crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
