Truck driver killed in semi crash on I-30 EB near Broadway
GARLAND, TX – A truck driver died early Monday morning after their 18-wheeler crashed along the interstate in Garland, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened on the eastbound side of I-30 near Broadway Boulevard, which is just southwest of Oaks Branch Park.
The investigation thus far indicates that for unknown reasons, the semi-truck driver crashed into a concrete barrier on the interstate. The collision pushed the 18-wheeler across the westbound side of I-30, blocking both sides of the interstate for several hours.
The driver died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
