Vehicle strikes, fatally injures construction worker on FM 917 in Joshua
JOSHUA, TX – A 61-year-old construction worker from Quinlan sustained fatal injuries Tuesday afternoon when a vehicle struck him along FM 917 in Joshua.
According to DFW Scanner, the incident occurred around 1 p.m. in the 1600 block of FM 917, which is just east of Chisholm Trail Parkway.
It’s unclear what may have caused the 76-year-old driver to hit the victim. Police say the victim was working as a safety flagger at the time of the accident.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name to the public.
