Vehicle strikes, injures woman following earlier crash on I-30WB near Akard
DALLAS, TX – A woman went to the hospital with serious injuries on Monday after a vehicle struck her along the interstate in central Dallas following an earlier collision.
According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened early in the morning along the westbound side of I-30 near South Akard Street, which is just south of Dallas City Hall and southeast of The Black Academy of Arts and Letters.
Authorities say the woman had been involved in an earlier accident along the interstate and had exited her vehicle when a car hit her near the original crash site.
Medics transported the woman to a local hospital with serious injuries.
It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the two accidents.
A full investigation is underway.
