Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian on I-35W NB at E Berry St
FORT WORTH, TX – A 65-year-old man from Fort Worth died Tuesday night after a vehicle struck him along the the interstate in Morningside, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened at 9:37 p.m. on the northbound side of the service road for I-35W near East Berry Street, which is just northwest of Ciquio Vasquez Park.
The investigation indicates that a northbound vehicle struck the pedestrian after hitting a second car on the service road while attempting to avoid hitting the pedestrian.
The pedestrian died after transport to a local hospital.
No other injuries have been reported at this time. Both drivers stopped at the scene to speak with police.
A full investigation is underway.
