Vehicle strikes, kills woman on US-67 near Cockrell Hill in Duncanville
DUNCANVILLE, TX – A woman died early Wednesday after a vehicle struck her along the highway in southwest Dallas County, reports WFAA News 8.
The accident happened after midnight on the northbound side of US-67 near the intersection with South Cockrell Hill Road in Duncanville. This is about 13 miles southwest of Dallas.
Police say the unidentified victim was attempting to cross the highway when the vehicle hit her. The driver involved in the collision stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
Officials closed US-67 in the area of the accident while crews worked to gather evidence and clear the scene. All lanes re-opened by around 3 a.m.
