Woman killed in crash caused by possible street race near Bucker and Forney

DALLAS, TX – A 45-year-old woman died, and two men went to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision at a busy east Dallas intersection on Tuesday, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at South Buckner Boulevard and Forney Road, which is between Military Parkway and I-30.

Police say that a speeding Chevy Impala carrying two male occupants struck another vehicle at the intersection. The second vehicle overturned, killing a female occupant at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim as Valerie Garcia.

Medics say the two men in the Impala sustained serious injuries but are expected to survive.

At this time, police suspect the driver of the Impala may have been racing at the time of the accident. A full investigation is underway, and our team will report back if we learn more about charges.
