Wrong-way crash involving semi-truck on TX-19 near Palestine kills 2
ANDERSON CO., TX – A wrong-way collision involving a pickup truck and a semi killed two people along a highway in central Anderson County Monday night, reports KETK News.
The accident happened around 11:08 p.m. on TX-19, about 12 miles from the city of Palestine. It’s unclear if the wreck occurred north or south of the city.
Police say that a southbound Toyota Tundra entered the northbound side of the highway and collided head-on with an 18-wheeler.
The unrestrained driver and passenger in the Tundra died at the scene of the collision. Authorities identified them as Abimael Santillian, 21, and Tanner Perez, 19.
The truck driver was unhurt in the collision.
A full investigation is underway.
